Audax Mezzanine takes a credit-oriented and value-added investment approach to debt investing. Our credit review process incorporates all facets of mezzanine debt and growth financing analysis, from initial review through extensive due diligence, final approval, and post-investment monitoring.

We target public and private middle market companies that have a history of cash flow stability and consistent revenue growth, while generally avoiding start-up companies and highly cyclical industries. Audax Mezzanine also considers growth capital investments in companies that have outstanding growth prospects and comparably lower leverage. We aim to invest in companies that have:

• Leading and defensible market positions
• Proven and experienced management teams
• Strong equity sponsor/lead investor and management team with meaningful equity ownership

Audax Mezzanine can add value to portfolio companies on many levels beyond that of the typical financing partner. Following a transaction, the Audax team maintains an ongoing dialogue with ownership and management. In addition, Audax Mezzanine accesses the Audax Group platform for strategic guidance and acquisition opportunities.

Investment Focus

Audax Mezzanine focuses on middle market mezzanine financings and seeks transactions requiring $10 million to $50 million of mezzanine capital.

Transaction Types

Audax Mezzanine will invest in a variety of different transaction types, including:

• Leveraged and management buyouts: We partner with top tier equity sponsor groups and management teams to capitalize leveraged buyout or management buyout investment opportunities.
• Growth financings: We invest in growth-oriented companies with talented management teams and established track records to help fund continued growth. These investments are typically used for capital expenditures as well as product line extensions and/or geographic expansion.
• Acquisition financings: We partner with leading middle market companies pursuing strategic acquisitions.
• Recapitalization and refinancings: We invest in middle market businesses that are effecting a recapitalization or are refinancing existing debt.
